Places: Munnar | Thekkady | Alleppey
Day 1: Cochin > Munnar (135 km / 4hr)
Upon arrival at the railway station, airport or any other destination in Cochin, you will be greeted by our representative and taken to Munnar where you will come across the most beautiful tea plantations, majestic lanes, picture perfect towns and various facilities that combine to make your experience significant. While travelling to Munnar, you can also visit Pallivasal, Cheeyappara Waterfall, Viewpoint, Adimali and Attukal Waterfall. On reaching Munnar town check into the hotel and relax. Stay in the hotel overnight.
Day 2: Sightseeing in Munnar
After early morning breakfast, proceed to different sightseeing locations in Munnar. Some of the most popular and noteworthy locations in the city are Photo Point, Kundale Lake, Mattupetty Direction, Echo Point, Mattupetty Dam and Shooting Point. After lunch visit some other exquisite locations which include Tea Museum, Anayirankal Dam, Lock Heart Gap View, Devikulam and Blossom Park. Come back to the hotel in the evening to rejuvenate for the next day.
Day 3: Munnar > Thekkady (110 km / 4hrs)
As you are required to cover a distance of 110 km; therefore after early breakfast, get ready to travel to Thekkady. Starting from Munnar, you can visit Vandanmedu and Pooppara while travelling to Thekkady. After checking in at the hotel, visit the local attractions. A visit to wildlife sanctuaries including Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary can be enjoyed. Other activities that can be enjoyed here are Kalari Payette, Jungle Jeep Safari, Kathakali Show and Elephant Safari.
Day 4: Thekkady > Kumarakom/ Alleppey houseboat stay (150 km / 3.5hr)
After early breakfast, travel to Kumarakom/ Alleppey from Thekkady. To enjoy a ride on the houseboat, board it and cruise through Kumarakom / Alleppey backwaters or inland waterways. Get a unique experience by spending a night on the houseboat, which is anchored in the Kumarakom / Alleppey backwaters.
Kumarakom / Alleppey are the boarding places where you will be welcomed with a non-alcoholic drink. Crew will give a brief introduction about the trip and the cruise starts in the afternoon. You can relax amidst the backwater and enjoy. While cruising through the backwaters, you are given an opportunity to sightsee different locations. You can come across coconut lagoons, paddy fields, bird sanctuary and Kumarakom/ Alleppey resorts.
Lunch is often traditional cuisine of Kerala which includes fish and chicken, along with other delicacies. Cruise starts again after the meal and passes through the Pathiramanal area. Tea and snacks are served in the evening, after which you can enjoy a village walk. After dinner, sleep in your super a/c room.
Day 5: Kumarakom > Cochin (120 km / 2 hrs)
After relishing breakfast, the cruise to Kumarakom starts again and will drop you to the boat jetty. A car will be ready to take you back to Cochin. On the way you can see Cochin sightseeings then drop by the airport / railway station. The tour concludes on a happy note and you are left with happy memories.
